Prof. Mony Almalech is a distinguished Bulgarian linguist and Hebraist known for his work in general, contrastive, and applied linguistics, with a strong focus on Hebrew language, Bible studies, and semiotics.

Professor Almalech’s corpus exhibits a clear and progressive intellectual trajectory. He begins with structural linguistics in Bulgarian and extends to comparative folklore semiotics, then advances into psycholinguistics and Hebraic studies, and culminates in a comprehensive semiotics of the Bible.

The Hebrew–Bulgarian Dictionary constitutes a pivotal work that both symbolically and methodologically connects his Bulgarian linguistic foundations with his Hebraic studies and Biblical-semiotic research.
