Moni Almalech is a linguist with diverse interests and abilities. He has defended his diplomas in General and Comparative Linguistics (Applied Linguistics) from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences: Doctor of Sciences (2005), Doctor (1990), Professor (2007), Associate Professor (1999). Master (1977) in Bulgarian Philology, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Full-time doctoral student in "Structural, Applied and Mathematical Linguistics" at the Institute of Bulgarian Language, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (1981-1983). works at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1992–1994), at the Institute of Bulgarian Language, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (1990–2012) and at Bulgarian University (1997 –). His interests and developments are in the field of theoretical linguistics with semiotic, structural and hermeneutic thinking. He is the author of the first ever "Hebrew-Bulgarian Dictionary" (2004; 2011) and "A Brief Practical Grammar of Hebrew" (2002), compiled by a linguist. He is the author of books that denounce Hebraic studies and secular academic biblical studies in Bulgaria: "Color in the Pentateuch. A Linguistic Picture of the World (on Hebrew, Bulgarian and Other Languages)" (2006), "Light in the Old Testament" (2010), "The Biblical Donkey" (2011), "Archangels in the Bible" (2013), "Red Codes in the Old Testament" (2014), "The Queen of Sheba, Lilith and the Raven" (2015), "Darkness in the Old Testament" (2017).
